Trash Collection & Recycling
Collection Day
Southwind trash collection days are Monday and Thursday and Southwind recycling collection day is Monday. Trash cans and recycling containers may be placed on the curb after 5:00 pm on the evening before collection day and should be removed from the curb by 10:00 pm on the day of collection.
STORAGE OF CONTAINERS—On non-collection days, containers should be stored in such a manner so as that they cannot be seen from adjacent and surrounding properties. Please keep containers out of sight on non-collection days.
HOLIDAY SCHEDULE—There will be no pickup on the following holidays: New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. If a scheduled pick-up day falls on or after one of these holidays, pickup will be delayed one day.
All-Star will also collect all overflow household trash in bags weighing less than 40 lbs.
Contractors should remove their own debris.
Small appliances and tools may be paced curbside for pick-up on collection day.

Recycling Guidelines
The following items may be recycled:
· Paper items include newspapers (removed from plastic bags), junk mail, office type paper, magazines and catalogs. Place these items in a paper sack and put them on top of other items in the bin. Broken down cardboard boxes may be recycled at the Agricenter.
· Clear, brown, and green glass without lids—Plastic containers with a #1 or #2 recycle symbol on the bottom.
· Aluminum, steel, tin, and tin plated food and beverage containers, which should be rinsed prior to placing in bins.

Limb and Branch Collection Guidelines:
1. No limbs longer that 4 feet or bags heavier than 40 lbs.
2. Nothing bigger around that 3 inches.
3. Bundled and stacked neatly by the curb with the cans so that it can be easily picked up and put in the back of the truck.
4. Please do not place limbs and branches in the common areas.
